The 8th Japan-China Workshop on

Environmental Catalysis

December 5 (Tue) - 6 (Wed), 2017

Tsukuba International Congress Center, Tsukuba, Japan

Organized by "Catalysis Society of Japan"

We cordially invite all of you to participate in the 8th Japan-China Workshop on Environmental Catalysis and Eco-materials, which will be held on December 5
and 6, 2017 in Tsukuba
, Japan
. The eighth workshop will be organized as a continuation of the successful first (October 9-10, 2003, Beijing, China), the second (October 24-25, 2005, Fukuoka, Japan), the third (October 11-12, 2007, Beijing, China), the fourth (November 5-6, 2009, Nagoya, Japan), the fifth (October 28-29, 2011, Shanghai, China), the sixth (December 4-5, 2013, Matsuyama, Japan), and the seventh workshop (November 7-8, 2015, Guangzhou, China).

Scope and Topics of the Workshop

The development of environmentally friendly catalysts and materials for controlling air/water pollution and for protecting human health is urgently required in this century. This workshop will greatly contribute to the communication between China and Japan on the new theories and technologies of pollution control. The purpose of this workshop is to stimulate and foster discussion among leading researchers working on environmental catalysis and materials aiming toward low-carbon society, and to point out the current problems in their research fields and suggest the future course of development. Papers on the following topics regarding environmental catalysis and eco-materials are highly welcome;

 — New concepts or new technologies for environmental catalysis
 — Synthesis of environmental catalysts
 — Fundamentals and characterization of environmental catalysts
 — Green & sustainable catalysis
 — Catalysis in high energy conversion
 — Biocatalysis
 — Photocatalysis
 — Electrocatalysis

Publication <new>

A manuscript for a special issue (Catalysis Today) will be submitted on-line through the website after the workshop. The detail schedule will be announced on the web-site. All the manuscripts will be peer reviewed following a standard procedure and acceptance will be decided by the Scientific Committee.
